About the role
We are looking for a Forward Deployment Engineer to get PrimeGuest running smoothly inside our customers’ hotels. You will be the engineer on the ground, on-site and remotely, moving hotels off their old PMS, connecting our platform to the OTAs, payment gateways, POS and accounting tools they rely on, and making sure the front desk is confident on the system from their first day.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role at a growing startup. You will see exactly how independent hotels and chains work in practice, solve real problems quickly, and take what you learn back to our product and engineering teams so the next go-live is easier. If you like writing code that ships the same day and enjoy working with people as much as with systems, this role is for you.
What you’ll do
Deployment and go-live
- Plan and run hotel go-lives, on-site and remotely, from kick-off to the first live night audit
- Configure properties in PrimeGuest: room types, rate plans, taxes, GST invoicing, users and permissions
- Work with hotel owners and general managers to agree timelines and make sure nothing is missed on cut-over day
Data migration
- Extract guest, reservation, rate and inventory data from legacy PMS and spreadsheets
- Write scripts to clean, map and import that data, and check it carefully before go-live
- Build repeatable migration tools so each new hotel moves across faster and with fewer errors
Integrations
- Set up and test connections with OTAs, payment gateways and UPI, POS and accounting systems
- Debug integration issues using API logs, webhooks and SQL, and fix them or escalate with a clear write-up
- Document each hotel’s setup so our support team can pick it up without guesswork
Training and support
- Train front desk, reservations, housekeeping and accounts staff on the parts of PrimeGuest they use every day
- Troubleshoot issues in the early weeks after go-live until the hotel is running independently
Feedback to product
- Share what you see in the field with product and engineering: bugs, workarounds, missing features and patterns across hotels
- Contribute fixes, internal tools and improvements to our deployment playbooks
What we’re looking for
- 2–4 years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role such as implementation, solutions or support engineering, ideally at a B2B SaaS company
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related field
- A solid understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and JSON, and hands-on experience testing them with tools like Postman
- Good SQL skills for querying, cleaning and validating data
- Scripting ability in Python, JavaScript/Node.js or similar, enough to automate imports and fix data problems
- Clear, patient communication in English and Hindi, with the ability to explain technical things to non-technical hotel staff
- Willingness to travel to client hotels across India, sometimes at short notice
Good to have
- Experience deploying or supporting hotel systems such as PMS, channel managers, booking engines or POS (a strong advantage)
- Understanding of how OTAs (Booking.com, MakeMyTrip, Agoda, Expedia) connect with hotels through channel managers
- Exposure to GST invoicing, UPI and payment gateway flows in India
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, and with Git
- Any regional language in addition to English and Hindi
Who you are
- Calm under pressure: a go-live day with a full hotel does not rattle you
- A problem solver: you dig into logs and data until you find the real cause
- Customer-minded: you care about the hotel team succeeding, not just the system working
- An owner: you see each deployment through to the end without waiting to be asked
- Organised: you keep checklists, notes and handovers tidy so nothing slips
Why join PrimeGuest
- Real engineering work with visible results: you will see hotels go live on systems you set up
- Direct influence on the product, with field insight that shapes what we build next
- Exposure to the full hotel tech stack: PMS, distribution, payments, revenue and guest experience
- Fast learning and clear room to grow into solutions, product or engineering roles
- A collaborative, supportive team that values initiative
