About the role
We are looking for a Website Developer to build websites for the hotels that use PrimeGuest. You will create new hotel websites from scratch, connected to our booking engine, so guests can find a hotel, trust it and book direct instead of going through an OTA. You will also help on our own marketing site and landing pages.
This is a hands-on role at a growing startup where your work is live and measurable. Every hotel site you build is judged on how fast it loads, how well it ranks and how many direct bookings it brings in. If you care about the details of performance, SEO and accessibility and like seeing your work move real numbers, this role is for you.
What you’ll do
Building hotel websites
- Design and build new websites for hotel clients from scratch, working from briefs, brand assets and designs
- Connect each site to the PrimeGuest booking engine so guests can check availability and book direct
- Set up a simple CMS or content structure so hotel teams can update rooms, offers and photos themselves
Performance and SEO
- Build for speed, with strong Core Web Vitals on real mobile networks
- Handle technical SEO: metadata, sitemaps, canonical URLs, clean URLs and redirects
- Add structured data (JSON-LD) such as Hotel, Organization, FAQ and Breadcrumb
Accessibility and quality
- Write semantic, accessible HTML that works with keyboards and screen readers (WCAG 2.1 AA)
- Test across browsers and devices, and keep every site responsive from small phones to large screens
Landing pages, analytics and experiments
- Build landing pages for hotel and PrimeGuest campaigns
- Set up analytics and conversion tracking with GA4 and Google Tag Manager
- Run A/B tests on layouts, copy and booking flows, and report on what works
What we’re looking for
- 2–4 years of experience building and shipping production websites
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with a solid grasp of responsive layout
- Hands-on experience with React and Next.js (App Router), including static export, written in TypeScript
- A good understanding of technical SEO, structured data (JSON-LD) and web accessibility
- Experience improving page speed and Core Web Vitals, using tools such as Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights
- Comfort with Git and a pull-request based workflow
Good to have
- Experience building hotel, travel or hospitality websites, or integrating a booking engine (a strong advantage)
- Experience with a headless CMS
- Familiarity with static hosting on AWS (S3 and CloudFront) and CI/CD with GitHub Actions
- Experience setting up GA4, Google Tag Manager and A/B testing tools
- An eye for design and the ability to work closely with designers in Figma
Who you are
- Detail-oriented: you notice a slow image or a missing alt text before anyone else does
- Performance-minded: you measure first and then make things faster
- An owner: you take a site from blank page to launch without waiting to be asked
- Curious: you keep up with changes in search, browsers and the web platform
Why join PrimeGuest
- Ownership of whole websites, from first commit to launch
- Work that is measured in real direct bookings for real hotels
- A modern stack with no legacy baggage
- Fast learning and clear room to grow into a senior or lead role
- A collaborative, supportive team that values initiative
