About the role
We are looking for a Business Analyst to be the bridge between hoteliers, our product team and our engineers. You will dig into how hotels actually run their day, from front desk and reservations to distribution, billing and revenue, and turn what you learn into clear, well-thought-out requirements that our team can build with confidence.
This is a high-ownership role at a growing startup. Your analysis will directly shape what goes into PrimeGuest’s PMS, channel manager, booking engine, revenue AI and guest app. If you enjoy untangling messy problems, love being close to both customers and code, and want a clear path towards product management, this role is for you.
What you’ll do
Discovery and customer understanding
- Work with hoteliers, our sales, onboarding and support teams to understand hotel workflows, pain points and feature requests
- Run discovery conversations, demo feedback sessions and site walkthroughs to capture real operational needs
- Research competitor products and industry trends in hotel and travel tech
Requirements and documentation
- Translate business needs into clear BRDs, PRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Map current and future processes using flowcharts, process diagrams and low-fidelity wireframes
- Maintain a well-organised product backlog with the product manager, and help prioritise based on customer impact and effort
Working with product and engineering
- Work closely with engineers and designers through the sprint cycle, answering questions and refining requirements as they build
- Define integration requirements with third-party systems such as OTAs, payment gateways, POS and accounting tools
- Plan and support user acceptance testing, and validate that releases meet requirements
Data and insights
- Use SQL and analytics tools to track feature adoption, product usage and customer behaviour
- Turn data into clear insights and recommendations that guide product decisions
- Build simple reports and dashboards for internal teams
Launch and enablement
- Prepare release notes, feature guides and help documentation
- Brief sales, onboarding and support teams on new features so customers get value quickly
What we’re looking for
- 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a B2B SaaS product company
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, computer science or a related field
- Hands-on experience writing BRDs, PRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Working knowledge of SQL and strong Excel or Google Sheets skills for data analysis
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma or Miro
- A good understanding of APIs and system integrations, enough to discuss them confidently with engineers
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical people
Good to have
- Experience in hotel or travel tech (a strong advantage)
- Familiarity with hotel systems such as PMS, channel managers, booking engines and revenue management tools
- Understanding of how OTAs (Booking.com, MakeMyTrip, Agoda, Expedia) and GDS connect with hotels
- Knowledge of hotel concepts like inventory, rate plans, occupancy, ADR and RevPAR
- Exposure to GST invoicing, UPI and payment flows in India
- Experience with a BI tool such as Metabase, Power BI or Tableau
- Prior experience in an early-stage startup or a small, fast-moving team
Who you are
- Ambitious: you want to grow quickly, and you see yourself moving towards product management
- Curious: you ask “why” until you get to the real problem
- Structured: you bring clarity to ambiguous problems and messy information
- An owner: you follow things through from idea to release without waiting to be asked
- Customer-minded: you care about making life easier for the hoteliers who use our product
Why join PrimeGuest
- Direct influence on an AI-native hospitality platform used by real hotels every day
- Real ownership and visible impact from your first few weeks
- A clear growth path towards product management
- Exposure to the full hotel tech stack: PMS, distribution, payments, revenue and guest experience
- A collaborative, supportive team that values initiative
